A 3-year-old boy who was stabbed at an Oshawa birthday party Saturday died in hospital today.



Nathan Kelly was critically wounded in the stabbing and died at the Hospital for Sick Children this morning, Durham police said.



His family has decided to donate his organs to help other children. The family says his mother, Leslie Kelly, who was also stabbed to death during the attack, would have wanted it that way.

Charges against a 48-year-old man have been upgraded to manslaughter in connection with the death of his elderly father.



On Nov. 23, police went to a home on Rathburn Rd. near the West Mall and Hwy. 427, where they found the body of Miksa Fischer, 83.

Police have made an arrest at the scene where a man was found dead this morning.



The body was found around 10:30 a.m. in the area of Rathburn Rd. and the West Mall.



Police would not disclose how the man died, but said they are treating the case as a homicide.



Police would not say whether a chase was involved in the suspect's capture.
